Adabell Jane Harvey of Dunbar passed away April 4, 2018.
She was born in Dunbar in 1942. She grew up in a large, close family. They didn't have a lot of money, but they laughed a lot and still do.
Adabell met the love of her life, Ronald Harvey, when she was very young. They got married in 1961. . She made a warm, comfortable home for him and their children for 56 years. Birthdays, holidays, and Sunday dinners were special, but the kids jumped in the car to go to Mama's home anytime. She put the work into her family, home, and relationship with Ronald. That is what they mean when they say true love.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Johnny Harvey, who died in 1964; parents, Wilmer and Juanita Harrison; sister, Judy Skiles (Curt); and close brother-in-law, David Peterson.
In addition to her husband, Adabell leaves behind a large family; brothers, Kenny Harrison (Marlene), and Sam Harrison (Susan) of Lexington, KY; sisters, Linda Peterson of Rutland, OH, and Rita Page of Cross Lanes; children, Ronnie Harvey (Mary) of Dunbar, Sandy Frame-Miller (Greg) of Sumerco; Bryan Harvey (Melissa) of Leon, and Connie Loudermilk (Tim) of Hurricane; grandchildren, Adam Harvey of Sissonville, Ron Harvey (Victoria) of Dunbar, David Harvey (Melissa) of Dunbar, Brittini Frame of Saint Albans, Racheal Moore (Brandon) of Hurricane, Steve Loudermilk (Whitney) of Graham, NC, Ryan and Cole Harvey of Leon; great-grandchildren, Emma and Tanner McDougal, Kennedy and Reagan Loudermilk, and one on the way, Elijah Harvey, on the way, and twins Addy and Lily Belle, named after Adabell.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle D. Young officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 7 at the funeral home.
