Adelia Louise Grinnell Blake, 74, formerly of Tyler Mountain, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 after a short illness.

Adelia was born October 11, 1935 to the late William and Nettie Grinnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Blake, Sr.; sisters, Rose Marie Grinnell and Jean Phelps; brother, William Grinnell, Jr.

Mrs. Blake is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Alan Chapman of Tyler Mountain, Ruth and Michael Withrow of Rocky Fork; sons, Charles Blake, Jr., and his wife, Rebecca, of Sissonville, Stephen Blake, and his wife, Karen, of Clarksville, TN, Michael Blake of St. Albans, Richard Blake, and his wife, Angela, of Tyler Mountain, William Scott Blake of Tyler Mountain; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Pat Grinnell of Port Clinton, OH; special caregiver, Sharon Volk; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Blake was also anxiously anticipating the arrival of an additional great grandchild.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
