Adena Ann McCune, 70, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2017.

She was born on November 27, 1946, in Charleston, to the late Charles and Viola Paxton.

She worked at Shoney's as a waitress for many years. The family will deeply miss her laugh and her smile.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Shaw; brothers, Gary Paxton and Doyle Paxton; sisters, Judy Shepherd and Carol Paxton; grandson, Jonthan McCune; and granddaughter, Ashley McCune.

Adena is survived by her son, James McCune and wife, Christina, of Charleston; daughter, Brenda McCune of St. Albans; brothers, Richard Paxton and Randall Paxton; sisters, Janet Davis, Karen Anderson, Debra Taylor, and Linda Haynes; grandchildren, Jeremiah Miller, Emily McCune, Jeffery Moore, Tiffany Withrow, Anthony Shaw, Tabatha Parker, and Eric Parker; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
