Obituary

Alan Franklin Todd, devoted father of Taylor and loving husband of Pam, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Alan formerly of Charleston, WV, was born in Wheeling, WV, August 14, 1954.

Alan is preceded in death by parents Philip L. Todd and Mary Lou Todd of West Liberty, WV. Alan was a graduate of Tridelphia H.S. Wheeling, WV and Marshall University. He was employed as a business development executive for Capgemini US. Alan's passion was his daughter, including coaching his daughter's basketball , soccer and tennis, and he was a loyal fan of all of his daughters' sports from age 3 and up.

Alan is survived by his wife and daughter; mother-in-law, Mary Jean White of Charleston, WV.; brother, Philip Todd and wife Peggy ; sister, Charlene McConnell and husband Rod all of Wheeling, WV; Aunts and Uncles Barbara and Matthew Carlton of Ona, WV; Dee and James Schuetz of Sarasota, Fla, Edna Finsley of Wheeling, WV, Pauline Wallace of Beaver Falls, PA, Frank and Betty Lou Ennis, Louis Ennis all of Wheeling W.V. Barbara and Norman Smith of Rehobeth Beach, DE; sister-in-law Beth Sutler and husband Kendall of Wilmington NC; nieces and nephews, Craig McConnell and Amy Strittmatter of Wheeling WV, Emily and Daniel Sutler of Wilmington NC, Andrea Wynn of New York, NY, Justin Michael with the US Army; Great niece and nephews Christian and Hunter McConnell, Jordan and Sierra Strittmatter and many cousins that loved him.

He was a man of deep faith, which brought comfort to him and his family through this difficult time. He fought a long battle and was optimistic to the end that he would beat his illness and live the life that he embraced so joyously. Alan had many friends whom he loved and they will always cherish the impact that he had on their lives.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, January 21, at Keller Funeral Home, 1236 Myers Ave, Dunbar, WV.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, January 24, at Westerville Christian Church, 471 E. College Ave, Westerville, OH, www.Westerville-Christian.org.
