Obituary

Albert S. "Bill" Beaver, of Tyler Mtn., went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2008, at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 15, 1927, in Arbuckle, WV, and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bessie Beaver.

He was retired from Hoylman and Huffman Appliance Co., after more than 30 years of service. He served our country as a Seaman First Class in the US Navy from October 1944 - September 1946 where he spent 18 months on the Naval Operations Base on Guam. During his service he was awarded the American Area Medal, the Victory World War II Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Medal.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Midge Beaver; children, T. R. Beaver and Jill Beaver of Tyler Mtn., Patricia "Teresa" McGhee and Dave Wallace of Tyler Mtn., Cathy Crewdson and Jimmie Crewdson of Liberty, Scott Beaver and Kim Light of Tyler Mtn.; sisters, Georgia Covert of Dunbar and Marjorie Miller of Cross Lanes; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. David Bush officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the staff of HospiceCare in Dunbar.
