Obituary

Albert Martin "Jack" Dishner, went to be with Jesus on August 23, 2007, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Dishner, mother, Gladys Dishner and great grandsons, Paul David and Kodey Alexander Fields.

He was retired from Kroger Co., and was a US Navy veteran, having served for 22 years in the reserves after completing active duty. He was a member of Maranatha Fellowship, St. Albans.

God blessed us with a wonderful husband, father and friend. He had so much love for others.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 ½ years, Maude Foster Dishner; son Daniel Martin Dishner and his wife, Linda of Florala, AL; daughter, Carolyn Fields and her husband, David of Charleston; brothers, Randolph Dishner of Lashmeet, WV, Robert Dishner of Marshalltown, Iowa, David and Linn Dishner of Princeton, WV; sisters, Peggy and Shelby Dishner of Lashmeet, WV, Phyllis Thomason and Debra Thorne of Princeton; two grandsons, two step grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 27, at Maranatha Fellowship with the Rev. James R. Wright officiating. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post 73 will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, August 26, at Maranatha Fellowship.

The family would like to honor and give a very special thank you to our dear friend William Willis for endless hours of love and care for our loved one, making his last days with us peaceful and comforting. A more faithful friend we could not find. We love you William.

Thank you to the staff at Hubbard Hospice House for their kindness, gentleness and caring spirits.

We're grateful for friends who sat with us and loved us and prayed for our strength. Our family is truly blessed.
