Albert "Tack" Shafer, 86, of Sissonville, passed away on March 9, 2026 at his home.

He was born on April 24, 1939 to the late John A. Shafer and Gracie "Gay" Jones Shafer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Hilda; son, Carlos; brothers, Kenneth and Bill; sisters, Berthel and Dorthalee.

Left to cherish Tack's memory are his daughter, Poma "PJ" Shafer; sister, Juanita Fisher; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 15, in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville, with Pastor Roger Cunningham officiating.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
