Our always and forever, Albert "Bert" Lynn Woodson, 57, of Dunbar, was called home Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

He was born in Columbus, OH, on May 28, 1963. In 1969 the family moved to West Virginia, where he was raised and educated in the Kanawha County school system. Albert received his GED and later an associates degree in education. He was employed at Simex Vinyl Extusions in St. Marys. Albert was working toward his bachelor's degree in business from American Intercontinental University and was set to graduate in May this year.

Albert was raised in the church and was a member of Church of Deliverance in Charleston. He brightened every room he entered, never met a stranger and was the life of every gathering and party. While growing up Albert was "Bert the Entertainer", he kept his siblings laughing. He would imitate Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and many others. He was a good singer and he loved to sing. Albert's bond of love with his family and all his friends was inseparable and everybody loved Bert.

He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Terry Lynn Nappier.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Pastor Estella Nappier; daughter, Theressa Woodson; son, LaChance Woodson; stepson, Darrien Bortey; grandchildren, JaYonn, ChyYon, MiYon, LaNeia, and LayAna; sisters, Audrey Powell, Angela McKeever, Treva Preston (Johnny) and Sherry Nappier; brothers, Ronald Woodson and Howard Nappier Jr.; and a host of aunties, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Bishop Robert Haley III officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
