Alfred J. Skeens, Sr., 73, of Poca, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007, in Hubbard Hospice House, with his son, Alfred "Allen", Jr. holding his hand.

Alfred is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred and his son, Shawn.

In addition to his son, Mr. Skeens is survived by his wife, Virgie; eight stepchildren who loved him very much; brothers, Gerald Skeens and Ray Skeens; sisters, Ruby Jones, Linda Carr, Jean Breeden; grandchildren, Shawn, Mikayla, Rebecca, James, Andrew, Jon Curtis, Timothy, Christopher, Joseph.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with the Rev. Jack Henry officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
