Alfred Clayton VanBibber, 75, of South Charleston, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his home.
He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital. Mr. VanBibber was responsible for the construction of many homes throughout the valley and was a member of the Painters Union.
Surviving are his children, Ronnie VanBibber and his wife, Cori of St. Albans, David VanBibber and his wife, Tina of Charleston and Cara Lanham and her husband, Russell of Mammouth; brothers, Glen and Joe and sisters, JoAnn, Barbara and Wanda. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, one great grandson and his best friend, Mike Carr of South Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Harold Burton Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in the Elk Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
