Obituary

Alice Lee Booth, 87, of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Hubbard Hospice House-West.

She was retired from the Sanitary Board of the City of Dunbar and was a member of the Dunbar First Baptist Church. Alice was a 63 year active member of the Order of Eastern Star, Dunbar Lodge #133, having served as an officer at many positions including Worthy Matron several times. She was a native of Charleston, but was proud to have lived most of her life in Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis H. "Joe" Booth.

Surviving are her daughter, Janice Lee Bail and her husband, Raymond L. of Dunbar and sister, Wanda Rutledge and her husband, Bruce also of Dunbar.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 4 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Phillip Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 3 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, where an Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Beni Kedem Transportation Fund, 100 Quarrier Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
