Obituary

Alicia Ann Featherstone, 47, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Alicia was a veterinarian technician. She adored and cared for any animal that crossed her path. She had the most free spirit, and wasn't afraid of anything. A beautiful, perfect soul inside and out. She loved completely, and made every single person she was with feel like they were important and valued. She loved to send cards to her family, expressing her love. Alicia never met a stranger. Her actions were nothing but generous and welcoming. She was thoughtful, personable, and warm. She was the biggest cheerleader and team player, with an accepting nature. The most contagious laugh and energy filled whatever room she was in. Her heart was pure. Alicia had great passion, and put her all into anything. Through the struggles, her truest heart was driven by the love she has for her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Barbara Hill; grandmother, Doris "Mawmaw" Hall; and uncles, Troy and Ralph Hall.

Alicia is survived by her biological daughters, Savannah and Alexis Featherstone; chosen daughter, Eva Guarnieri; father of her loving daughters, Joseph Featherstone, who will always have a special place in his heart; loving father, Terry Slater; step-mother and dear friend, Julie Slater; step-sister, Bethany Hall and her children Hattie, Hendrix and Huntley who loved their "best Aunt Felicia"; step-sister, Breanna Layton and her children Jaycee and Jaydon who loved their "best-friend"; mother, Nancy Eckerl; Alicia's twin brother, Terry Slater, Jr., his wife Kristi, and their children, Terry "Trip", Logan, Sarah, Brooks, and Hunter; great-aunt, Nancy; aunts, Cheryl Hall and Pamela Harper; uncle, Tim Hill; and cousins, Candace Bradnard, Dalton Hall, Scott Slater, and Lindsey Lahmer.

She loved the Lord, and enjoyed the praise and worship service at Bible Center Church, where she began attending in June.

A scripture that she admired in particular was Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
