He was a member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene for 32 years.

Allen was born on June 30th, 1935 in Walton, WV, but spent most of his life in the Charleston area.  He served in the US Air force where he discovered his love for anything with wings.  He enjoyed that love for the rest of his life, drawing, building and flying model airplanes. Allen was a skilled carpenter.  He was an architectural Draftsman for most of his life, drawing plans for many of the homes and businesses in the Valley.

Allen loved many things, but his two greatest loves were God and his wife Barbara.  You could always find them together, most likely at church or a good yard sale looking for deals.
