Allen Reed Martin's Obituary
Allen Reed Martin, 72, of Oak Hill, Ohio, formerly of Charleston passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
He was born on October 31, 1942 to the late Francis Edward Martin and Esther Louise Reed Martin.
Allen graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1961. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours during the Vietnam Conflict and was a Naval Reservist. Allen retired in 1995 from the E.I. DuPont Plant in Belle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Mary Frances Reed and uncle, Alvin Martin.
Allen is survived by his wife, Sallie Smith Martin; son, Francis "Buster" Martin and wife, Amanda; Daughter Melissa Martin Stalnaker and husband, Chris; grandsons, "Little" Chris Stalnaker, Nicholas Stalnaker, Steven Stalnaker; sister, Wanda Martin Hall Graham, Deloris Martin Lipps and husband, Ken, Frances Martin Ford; brother, Rick Martin and wife, Carla; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Caleb Korth officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
