Allen Hunt Summers, 73, of Charleston, passed away on July 19, after a long illness.

Allen was a longtime resident of the Charleston area. He was a 1963 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, and also served 4 years in the US Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father, C.H. Summers and brother Havern Summers.

Allen is survived by mother, Ruth Summers of Cross Lanes; daughter, Lillian (Casey) Crouch and granddaughters, Stella and Phoebe all of Titusville, FL; daughter, Virginia Hammer and grandsons, Nathan, Skyler, Ashton, and Noah all of Wichita, KS; brother C. Hugh Summers of Cross Lanes, and sister Evelyn (John) Allen of Houston, TX.

Friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
