Alma Frances Godbey, 92, of South Charleston, died February 18, 2014, at Golden Living Center-Riverside.
She was born in Hinton to the late Elba Wilson Lane and Hazel Ona Lane. She was a member of Cross Lanes Bible Church and a former pre-K Sunday School teacher. She was retired from the Macke Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Willard Godbey; daughter-in-law Mary Catherine Godbey; sister, Comella Grimmett; and brothers Fred, Melvin, Cecil, Bill, Paul, Glen, and Jack Lane.
She is survived by her sons, Larry E. Godbey of Estill Springs, Tennessee, and David W. Godbey of Dunbar; daughter, Linda F. Godbey of Spring Hill; sister, Martha Jean Hill of St. Albans; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with her nephew, Reverend Tom Hill, officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
