Alva Lewis Preston's Obituary
Alva Lewis Preston, 59, of Charleston, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at home.
Al was retired from FMC Corporation and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur A. Preston.
Mr. Preston is survived by his son, Christopher A. Preston of Charleston; daughter, Melinda J. Stanley of Tornado; mother, Fran E. Cavanaugh Smith of Cross Lanes; his dachshund, Corky.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Preston Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
