Ann Rose Eckard, 94, formerly of South Charleston, had a gentle passing on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

She was born on December 31, 1922, in Stockport, Ohio, to the late Ward and Pansy Henry.

Her life was her work. She retired from Union Carbide after 36 years, and was involved with the 5th Avenue Church of God in South Charleston for many years.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl Eckard.

She is survived by her daughter, Earlene Kemerer and husband, Barry, of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Ian McMillian of Washington state, Shelly Burkoski of Omaha, NE, Kristi Russell of Teays Valley, Kevin Kemerer and wife, Deona, of Charleston; great grandchildren, Nate Burkoski, Hana Burkoski, Brett Kemerer, and Jeremy Kemerer.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Gary Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
