Anna Bowles, 84, of Dunbar passed away on January 11, 2023.

She worked as a nurse at McMillion and CAMC Hospital for 38 years and was a member of Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. She loved her Lord and her family with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Clyde Thevenin and Westie Thevenin; brother, Wendell "Paddle" Thevenin; sisters, Arlene Fewell and Donna Summers.

Anna is survived by her children, Kathy Pickens (Doug), Leaann Ward, and Joe Bowles (Mary); grandchildren, Kevin Pickens (Kimberly), Jeremey Pickens (Amber), Donnie Spradling (Suzi), Laura Garner, and Amber Bowles; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Roush; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 14 at Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.
