Anna Marie Cannon, 98, of Dunbar, passed away, Monday, January 16, 2006 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where many years ago she served as church organist. Anna Marie loved bridge and played in three bridge clubs over a period of 35 years. She also served as secretary to Mayor Salisbury in Dunbar in the 1950s.
Anna Marie and her late husband, Edward J. Cannon, were an integral part of a group of local residents who organized the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary in 1954. She continued to volunteer with the auxiliary for over 35 years, serving in excess of 10,000 hours during that time.
Anna Marie id survived by her daughter, Carolyn Cannon of Dunbar; nephews, Joe Cannon, Charles Cannon, Bernard O'Leary, John O'Leary and Billy Lynch all of Painesville, OH and Ralph O'Leary of San Francisco, CA; nieces, Sallie Shea and Helen O'Leary of Painesville, OH, Anne Gibbons of Canton, OH and Lou Ann Kalapach of Whiting, IN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 21st, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Dunbar, with Father Richard Chirachello officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Friends may call at the church 2 hours prior to the service and light refreshments will be served.
