Anna Louise "Anne" Lutz, 88, originally of Dunbar, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, while hospitalized at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, OH.

Born Nov. 30, 1926, she was one of four children of the late Jessie & Hattie Hedrick of Charleston. She had resided in Westerville since May 2004.

Anna worked as a telephone operator after she left high school and continued part-time after her marriage to Phillip "Bill" Lutz in 1945. They were married for 58 years until Bill's passing in Sept. 2003.

Anna's empty nest years were filled with a wide variety of creative endeavors and pursuits including crocheting, knitting, needlework, rock and gem collecting, stained glass making, hiking with the Kanawha Trail Club, senior exercise at the Dunbar Library, various outings and excursions, and significantly, her work involving genealogy. Anna's contributions towards the lineage of the Van Bibbers and their tie-in to that of Daniel Boone's line resulted in a folder named "The Anna Lutz Papers" at the Research Library and Archives of the Boone Campus of Lindenwood University in Missouri.

Anna is survived by her two children, Larry W. Lutz of Ashburn, VA, and Phyllis M. Storck of Westerville, OH; four grandchildren, Christopher and Michael Lutz of VA, Scott Storck of Denver, CO, and Lindsay Benver of Columbus, OH; two great-grandchildren, siblings William Hunter and Elizabeth Rose Storck; and sister, Lola Cottrell.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Doyle D. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
