Anna Marie Sutherland, 64, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2025 at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in South Charleston, WV to Shirley Spangler (Schultz) and James Schultz of South Charleston, WV, and had three brothers and two sisters.

Anna enjoyed being in nature, hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time with her loved ones.  She loved being a grandmother, raising two of her grandchildren as her own.  Anna was full of love and enjoyed caring for and supporting them, while teaching them to navigate life as they grew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Schultz-Gillispie; daughter, Trista Sutherland; and grandson, Kalijah Sutherland.

Anna is survived by Mark A. Reed, her devoted partner of 26 years, of St. Albans; daughter, Jasmine Sutherland of St. Albans; stepson, Jesse Reed of St. Albans; grandchildren, Thomas and Nathan Sutherland of St. Albans and Madison Brown of Barboursville; brothers, Ronald and James Schultz of St. Albans and Jerry Schultz of Beach City, OH; sister, Kathy Schultz of St. Albans; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would sincerely like to thank the entire staff of CAMC Teays Valley Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Anna and her family during this past year.  Thank you for taking excellent care of her and always making everyone feel welcomed with your accommodations during her long inpatient stints.

A celebration of Anna's life will be held at the Lincoln Drive Community Church at a later date where Pastor Charles Shelton will officiate.

Per her request, Ann will be cremated.

She is deeply missed, but forever in our thoughts and hearts…Our memories of her serve as a blessing to us all.
