Anne Godfrey Farmer, 69, of South Charleston, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Hubbard House at Thomas Memorial Hospital with her family at her side.
Born and raised in Oxford, England, Anne was the youngest daughter of the late Percy and Anne Eleanor Godfrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Farmer, Jr., and sister, Jacqueline Holt.
Anne is survived by her son, William Allen Farmer and wife Becky of Erbacon; daughter, Elizabeth Anne Verdi and husband John of Eugene, Oregon; grandsons Drew, Alex, and Kasey of Erbacon, and Dylan of Eugene, Oregon; sister, Margaret McCarthy of Oxford, England.
Anne was a retired Registered Nurse who devoted 30 + years of caregiving at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
The family wishes to thank all the many outstanding caregivers Anne was fortunate to have with her at Thomas Memorial Hospital and Hubbard House, as well as home care provided by Special Touch.
There will be no visitation or service.
