Arba Gene Comer, 87, of Big Sandy, WV went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 31, 1936 to the late Basil Comer and Sarah Smith, both of Clendenin, WV.

Arba lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and humor that will be remembered by those who knew him.

Arba was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. He worked as maintenance personal for the City of Charleston for most of his life and was known for his strong work ethic.

In addition to his parents Arba was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Warbutton.

He is survived by his daughters,  Kimberly Fields of St. Albans, WV and Melissa Hill of Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Stephanie, Stevie, Tabitha, Brittany, Emily, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Alana, Haley, Christian, and Laiken.

Arba was loved by his family and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the staff at CAMC Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during his final days.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
