Arbutus Wolfe Cochran, 76, of Sissonville, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at her home with her family by her side, after a short illness.
She retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital in the dietary department. She was of Baptist faith.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by her husband, Harry J. Cochran; son, Mayor Roger Wolfe of Dunbar; daughter, Sylvia Ann Wright of Dunbar; stepson, Raymond Cochran of Kenna; stepdaughters, Lorine Cobb of Liberty, Sue Barrow of Nitro; brothers, Shirley Cobb of Liberty, Andrew Cobb of Liberty, Ivan Cobb of Leon, Harold Cobb of Liberty, Ralph Cobb of Liberty, Mayford Cobb of Liberty; sisters, Maxine Boardnet of Hometown, Patsy Hill of Bancroft, Betty Kulbe of Jacksonville, FL, Phyllis Wickline of New Mexico; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren; special friends, Delmar and Phobe Fields.
The family would like express their sincere appreciation to Hospice Care, for their care and comfort provided to Arbutus during her illness.
The family will be accepting flower memorials, or suggests that donations be made in lieu of flowers, to Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2006, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Liberty.
