Arleen Ruth Lawhorn was born on May 19, 1946 and entered the Gates of Heaven from home on January 11, 2013, after suffering from a long illness.
She was always an angel on earth, and is truly one now in heaven. Arleen had many homes, she lived in Elkhart, IN, in Charleston, and Jane Lew, and her final home was with her daughter and family in Logan. Arleen was a member of Greater Life Pentecostal Church in Stollings. Arleen stayed as active as long as she could. Her most favorite thing was shopping! It could be yard sales, thrift stores, or EBAY; it didn't matter to her. She also enjoyed crafts, making baby dolls, tables, and many other things. Arleen was retired from Olan Mills Photography.
Arleen is preceded in death by her father, Earl Lawhorn; mother, Effie Wells; step-father, David Wells; and one special sister-in-law, Yvonne Lawhorn.
She is survived by her daughters, Candie Eagle , and Cassandra "Saunie" Damron; son, Gerald Donald Daly, III; special son-in-laws, Roger Damron (who she depended on for everything), and Roy Eagle Jr.; sisters, Carol Brown (Jimmy), Loretta Gibson (Doug), Vierra "Mushy" Gibson (Randy), Vanessa Greene (Greg), Delorse Estes (Rich), and Alma Rogers; brothers, Raymond "Bubby" Lawhorn, John Lawhorn, James Lawhorn, and George Lawhorn (Tamara); grandson, Michael Jarrett; granddaughters, Tausha Fry, Shana Damron (Tommy), and Raven Damron (Todd); great grandchildren, Adrian, Luna, Trinity, and Alya. Arleen was also survived by many nieces and nephews that were as close to her as grandchildren, and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren that she didn't consider step. Arleen was very close to her siblings, and her family was very special to her. When Arleen loved you, she truly loved you!
