Arnold S. Mason, Jr., 86, of Dunbar, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was a graduate of Clay County High School and was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WW II. Mr. Mason was a retired electrician with Union Carbide and was a member of the Dunbar United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Dunbar Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen in 1966, his second wife, Harriett in 1988, his daughter, Linda in 2000 and his two brothers, Tom and Francis Mason.
He is survived by his son, Arnold S. Mason, III and his wife, Sandra of South Charleston; daughters, NaDean Eads and husband Rodney of Cyprus, TX and Ruth Ann Fleming and husband, Donald of Eldersburg, MD; grandchildren, Brandon Eads and wife, Andrea, Courtney Irwin and husband, Jared, Christopher Fleming, Annie Fleming, Emily Mason, Jessica Mason, Nicholas Mason and Mary Mason; brother, Gordon Mason of San Jose, CA; sisters, Tharon Sullinger of Bramwell SC and Eleanor Gathye of Clermont, Fla.; step-daughters, Harriett Brown and her family and Dee Dee Heyne and her family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
