Lovejoy
January 4, 1959 – August 12, 2023
Arthur Glenn Lovejoy, 64, of St. Albans, passed away August 12, 2023 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
He was born January 4, 1959 in Charleston to the late George "Red" and Josie Lovejoy.
Arthur was a self employed laborer and handyman all of his life. He could do anything, and would help anyone. He loved his family, his friends, and fishing. Arthur was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunbar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Merell and George Lovejoy; sister, Nancy Jovejoy; daughter, Bonnie Forsback; and, grandson, Curtis Forsback.
Arthur is survived by his wife Theresa of St. Albans; son, Donnie Fitch of St. Albans; sisters, Ruby O'Dell, Angie Thacker, and Beverly Lovejoy all of St. Albans; son-in-law, Rodney Cobb of Hurricane; granddaughter, Tiffany McCallister (Charley) of Hurricane; grandsons, Landon and Lake Cobb both of Hurricane; great-granddaughter, Molly Mae Newman of Hurricane; great-grandson, Bentley Joe McCallister of Hurricane; his fur baby, Stubby of St. Albans; and, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank Kanawha Hospice for coming and providing such good care for Arthur. We also appreciate the amazing care he received at Ruby Memorial and Thomas Memorial Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar to help offset the cost of services.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
