Audrey "Granny" Beatrice Taylor Shrewsbury, 76, of South Charleston went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2023.

She was born on April 13, 1946 to the late Veatrice "Big Jim" Buela and Woodrow Wilson Taylor.

She was a devoted Christian all her life and is now dancing in the streets of Heaven.

While on this earth she was fiercely dedicated to her family whom she loved with everything in her. Granny Audrey's greatest joy was cooking for everyone, especially her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She always made sure everyone left her with a full belly.

She was loved by so many and she took care of everyone she knew. The love she gave so freely to her family and friends can not be described.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore "Bug" Taylor; sister, Shirley "Sis" Parsons; husband, Thomas "Tommy" Shrewsbury; and great granddaughter, Lilly Anna Grace Hoffman.

Granny Audrey went to Heaven before her two daughters, Sabrenna "Beany" Kay Midkiff (Gregory) and Sue Ann Hoffman (Donald Spradling); six grandchildren, Gregory Quest Midkiff, Ashley Marie Midkiff,(Daniel Westbrook), Dylan Wayne Midkiff, Brock Jesse Dale Hoffman (Cierra), Luke Tyler Hoffman (Olivia) and Landon Hale Hoffman; seven great grandchildren, Couper, Audrianna, Dylanie, Harrison, Gunner, Bowen, and Brantley; all her loving sisters, Mary Dolin, Barbara Dixon, Carol Gillispie, Marta Pauley and Anita Taylor; one brother, Woodrow "Woody" Taylor; and one very special "sister-niece", Sarita Jo Bennett.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 at Davis Creek Church of The Nazarene. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
