Bernice H. Fisher, 98, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Asbury Place, Steadman Hill Campus, in Kingsport, TN.

She was born and raised in Given, graduating from Ripley High School in 1937.

Bernice was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church and served as secretary for Boyd Memorial Christian Church in Charleston, for decades.

Mrs. Fisher was a devoted wife to husband William "Cleek" Fisher who preceded her in death. They were parents of two children, son, William C. Fisher Jr. and daughter, Mary Fisher Basham, who both also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her grandsons, Ryan R. Basham and Justin W. Basham of Los Angeles, CA, their father, Robert Basham of Johnson City, TN and great nephew, Dr. Michael Chancey of Ripley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Jerald Lanham officiating. Burial will follow in Fairplain Cemetery.
