Obituary

Bertha Mae Hayes, 74, of South Charleston, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010, at her home.

She was a homemaker and a native of Kanawha County.

Surviving is her former husband, Everett R. Hayes; sons, Roger Hayes of Dunbar, Chris and Ronnie Hayes of South Charleston; daughters, Glenna Hanson of Gloucester, Va.; brothers, James, Leon and Clifford Scarberry of South Charleston and Frank Scarberry of St. Albans; sisters, Alice Scarberry and Stella Canterbury of Dunbar, Lora Meeks and Clara Welker of South Charleston and Doris Williams of Nitro; grandchildren, Angel Pennington of Dunbar, Roger Hayes of St. Albans, John Hanson of Menchville, Va., Julie Hinton and Jason Hanson of Gloucester, Va., Lisa Martin, Christopher Hayes, Travis Hayes and Anastasia Hayes; great grandchildren, Dillon and Derrick Pennington, Brianna, Abigail, J. D. and Brady Hayes, Jacob Hinton, Jonah Hanson and Alice Rose Hanson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Cunningham Memorial Park with the Rev. Harold Harmon officiating. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
