Bette L. Edwards' Obituary
Bette L. Edwards, 92, of St. Albans, was welcomed home to Heaven on September 25, 2015 as a great prayer warrior and saint.
She lived a full life from being a loving daughter, a World War II bride, to making 40 mm shells at Triumph Explosives for the war effort. She was a Sunday school teacher, mother and grandmother to many, and a friend to all she met; but mostly a prayer warrior. We will miss her greatly. We will especially miss her instructions on finding your prayer closet and using it often ... on both knees.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dain Edwards; parents, Everett and Ada Lockhart; brother, Billy; and sisters, Evelyn and Elva.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Edwards, David Edwards, and William Edwards; daughters, Dianne Shaffer, Rosada Edwards, and Beth Howren; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday September 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Andy Colagrosso officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sojourn City Church, P.O. Box 911042, Lexington, KY 40591.
