Betty Jane Shanahan Badgley born on June 7, 1924, went to meet her Savior, husband, family members and friends on April 14, 2014.

Betty was born in Marion, Indiana and moved to West Virginia as a child. She married Charles "Mike" Badgley on Dec 11, 1948. Mike worked at Carbide and owned his own appliance business.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Mike" Badgley; parents, U.G. (Doc) Shanahan and Nettie Shanahan; sister, Pauline Cottrell, brothers, James and Herbert Shanahan.

Betty left behind her brother, Richard Shanahan and wife, Linda of Melbourne, FL; two daughters, Marsha Hosey and son-in-law, Bill of Nitro and Delores Wymer of South Charleston; grandchildren, Sheyenne Loveridge and husband, Johnny of Melbourne, FL, Shane Hosey and Kathy Kearns of San Antonio, TX, and Roxanna Wymer of WY; nieces and nephews, Patty Thiel, Carolyn Francisco, Rex Shanahan, Barbara Padillo, Jimmy Shanahan, Margaret McNabb, Gray Shanahan and Chris Shanahan; and nieces by marriage, Cathy Miller and Candy Seckman.

Betty was a long time member of Twin City Bible Church in Nitro.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18 at Twin City Bible Church, Nitro with Pastor Scott Bandy officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 at Twin City Bible Church.
