Betty L. Bowen, 86, of Cross Lanes, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 after a long illness.

She was born March 26, 1931, to the late Paul and Gertrude Sebok.

A mom among all moms. She was a wonderful quilter and had green thumb. Betty was a lifelong Notre Dame fan. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Bowen; siblings, Helen, Harry, Junior, Chad, Hazel, Jean, Bill, Doris; and grandson, Thomas Aaron Bowen.

Betty is survived by her sons, Bill Tincher and wife, Lindy, of Cross Lanes, Thomas Bowen and wife, Hazel, of Cross Lanes, Emmett Bowen and wife, Ann, of Dunbar, Paul Bowen and wife, Rebecca, of Newport News, VA, Benjamin Bowen and fiancé, Cathy, of Charleston, Christopher Bowen of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Brandy, Garrett, Jacquelyn, Sarah, Emily, Chelsea, Chad and Ryan; and six great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Corbet May officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen Cemetery, Tyler Mountain,

Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
