Betty Jean Dawson Moore Fankhouser, 85, of Frametown, Braxton County went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2023 after a long illness.

She was born on October 10, 1938 to the late Delmer Dawson and Mildred Hysell Dawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Eddie D. Dawson, Larry A. Dawson, Arthur K. "Chuck" Dawson, Ernie P. "BB" Dawson, and Michael L. "Mike" Dawson.

Betty is survived by her husband, Shannon Fankhouser of Huntington; daughters, Kimberly D. Powell (Wayne) of Frametown, Kelly Boer (Dan) of Pennsylvania; sons, Tim Dawson (Janet) of Florida and Kevin Moore (Jane) of South Charleston; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren, and her loving dog and companion JOJO.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Kimberly and Wayne Powell, her caregivers at home, and to the special nursing staff at Genesis Teays Valley Center in Hurricane, WV.

A private burial will be at a later date in King Cemetery in Bomont, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charitable organization of their choice.
