Betty Sue Eplin, 65, of South Charleston, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007 in St. Francis Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born on July 21, 1942, the daughter the late Bruce and Mary Lee Slater. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Eplin; infant son Perry Eplin; daughter-in-law, Delores Eplin.
Mrs. Eplin is survived by her daughters, Brenda Angel, and husband, Bob of South Charleston, Sherrie Parrish, and husband, Jack of Charleston, Sara Craddock, and husband, Jason of South Charleston, Florence Falls of South Charleston; sons, Barry Eplin of Given, Terry Eplin, and wife, Delana of Florence, KY; brothers, Arthur "Butch" Slater and fiancée Susan Sunday of St. Albans, Larry Slater, and wife, Debbie of Hurricane, Billy Slater, and wife, Sandy of Louisville, KY; sister, Sandy Phillips, and husband, Johnny of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law and wife, Robert and Carol Eplin of South Charleston, sister-in-law and husband, Orpha and Neal Hager of South Charleston; sisters-in-law, Betty Eplin of South Charleston, Mary Holley of Murraysville; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Lee Hamrick officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park.
Friends may from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
