On May 1, 1930, Betty Lee Hall Epperly was born to the late Peter and Gilla Reed Hall. On May 14, 2012, Betty went to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Bessie Harrison and Elizabeth White McCormick, brothers, Lee, Raymond, Ralph and Lawrence.
In October 1946, Betty and Frank Epperly, Jr. were married and had two children, Michael (Jewel) of Charleston and Sherry Fields (companion Pete Porec, Jr.) of Bridgeport, Ohio. Granddaughters, Tammy Fields of Cincinnati, Ohio and Melissa Belcher (Anthony) of Chelyan. Grandsons, Michael Epperly, Jr. of Belle and Jose' Fields of San Antonio, Texas. Great granddaughters, Paige Kidd, Nyla Sauter, Ashleigh Fields, Kamrin Epperly, Ta Mya Chapman, Zen Fields. Great grandsons, Sean Kidd (Jessica), Jesse Clay, Danyeal Fields, Adam Ruffin, Kyle Epperly, Israel Fields. Great great grandsons, Izaiah Crosby and Zak Kidd. Several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a member of the Church of God on Payne Ave. in Dunbar.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1p.m. Rev. Randy Ledsome will be officiating. She will be laid to rest at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
The family would like to thank the employees at Quarry Manor in Kanawha City for the wonderful care they gave our Mother, the nurses at CAMC General and to Hubbard Hospice House for their care and kindness.
