Obituary

Betty L. Hannan, 77, of St. Albans, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2007, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born on July 25, 1929 and was the daughter of Walter and Della Webb.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Hannan.

She attended the Gospel Lighthouse and had worked at the Hansford Senior Center in St. Albans.

As our dear mother, she never stopped praying, encouraging or helping her daughters. She loved and helped raise her three grandchildren until the effects of her illness became too much.

The love of her life, Jim, not only loved, respected and cherished her for 52 years, he was her sole provider for the past two years of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Jerry Edwards; grandsons, Chris Bennett and Derek Edwards; granddaughter Destiny Edwards; and her furry friend, Otis, who always kept a watchful eye on "Maw Maw." She is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Jerry Hudson officiating.

A gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Even though we lost a very big part of our family, she left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories that will forever be in our hearts. She will be missed greatly.

Rest in Peace, Mom. We all love you.
