Betty Lou Kenney, 81, of Sissonville passed away on November 28, 2024 after a long illness.

She was born in Charleston and attended Sissonville High School.  Betty enjoyed gardening and working on crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Kenny; son, Kevin Kenney, parents, Earlie and Carolyn Young; four siblings, Mae , Pauline, Arland, and Carl.

Betty is survived by her her daughter, Connie Hill and husband Jim of Kenna; son, Richard Allen Kenney Jr. of Sissonville; daughter-in-law, Christina Kenney (spouse of son, Kevin); bonus brother, Robert Young; brothers, Estil Young and Dennis Young.

She is also survived by her grandkids, Christina Slate, Tiffany Honaker, Jennifer Sigmon, Rick Kenney, Shawn Kenney, Amber Walker, Alex Kenney, and Blake Kenney; and 20 great-grandkids.

The family would like to give thanks to Genesis Putnam Center staff for taking special care of Betty.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
