Betty Geral Lane, of Charleston, born on January 21, 1943, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2014.
She was a joyful servant of Christ at East Point Apostolic Church. She never tread far from her beloved West Virginia home and loved surrounding herself with family and friends, always offering a warm smile and a heartfelt hug to all she met.
She was preceded in death by her mother Stella Salyers, father Harry Salyers, and brothers Charles Salyers and James Salyers.
Betty is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lewis Lane; daughter, Audra Sweet and husband John; grandchildren Danyale Sibray and husband John, Elishia Lane, Billie Murphy, Ashley Cobb and husband Robert, Johnathan Sweet and Amber Sweet; great-grandchildren Jamar Booker, George Anderson, and Alexandrix Cobb; brother Kenneth Salyers; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 25, at East Point Apostolic Church with Pastor Gerald Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
