Obituary

Betty Boling Patteson, 79, passed away suddenly at home on November 9, 2009.

She had lived the last twenty years in Summerfield, Fl, previously from Dunbar, WV. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Bob Patteson, parents, Red and Clara Boling and brother, Denver "Dink" Boling, who was killed in the Korean War.

Having been a homemaker, her most rewarding job was being a loving wife, raising her family, and looking after her parents before their passing. She enjoyed camping, her church family and going shopping with her girls. Mother was a member of First Baptist Church of Belleview, Fla.

Mother is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Cookie and Tim Rothwell of Dunbar, and Dottie and Carl Slone of Summerfield, Fla. She is also survived by her grandson, Bobby Rothwell of Dunbar and great granddaughter, Kelsie Rothwell of Charleston and her grand-cats, Bell and Squirt. Also surviving are her loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Crozier and Annie Patteson, Pearl Fortner, Tommy and Zula Patteson of Princeton, Sue and Clinton Lilly of Spanishburg, WV, Betty Long and Ruby Carroll of Bluefield, WV, James and Jean Patteson of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Launa Barrett and Betty Ray Patteson of Greensboro, NC, Rosella and Larry Bird of Hattiesburg, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, by her nephew, the Rev. Richard Carbaugh. Her final resting place will be beside her loving husband at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
