Betty Jane Breckenridge Smith, "Betty-Boop", 85, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at CAMC General Division.

Betty was born June 21, 1931 in Sharon. She was educated through Kanawha County School system. Betty retired as a janitor for the Kanawha Investment Company at the Peoples Building with over 35 years of service. She was a member of Grace Bible Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Smith; parents, George and Laura Breckenridge; son, Raymond Breckenridge; daughter, Callie Smith; grandson, Michael Smith; brothers, Ernest Breckenridge, Sr. (E.D.) and Warren Breckenridge, Sr. (Jay); and sisters, Louise Breckenridge (Biddy), and Margaret Johnson.

Betty is survived by her beloved children, Linda (Quzell) Brock of Robson, Curtis (Rita) Brock, Pamela (Matthew) Watts, Frankie (Monita) Smith, and Margaret Smith all of Charleston; sisters, Louvenia Gray of Charleston, Mae Paula Blanton and Barbara (Charles) Johnson both of Detroit, Michigan; brothers, Norman (Genova) Breckenridge, Robert and Claude Breckenridge all of Robson, George (Annette) and Troy (Melissa) Breckenridge both of Charleston; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 21, at Grace Bible Church, Charleston. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
