Betty Preece Stanley, 94, a resident of South Charleston, WV since 1956 died on September 24, 2025.

She was born on March 18, 1931 to parents Troy and Bonnie Browning Preece.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Stanley. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dr. Elizabeth Anderson; brother, Gary Preece; and sister, Madge Wilson Jones.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Patricia (William) Showalter; grandchildren, Andrew (Ciarra) Showalter, Caryl Showalter, Dr. Cate Showalter and Dr. Max Showalter; daughter, Alison Anderson; grandchildren, Christopher (Dr.  Lauren) Anderson, Stephanie (Jason) Crook; and son, Troy David (Susan) Stanley; grandchildren, Jonathon (Stacy) Stanley, Bridget (Michael) Schneider.

Betty is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ethan and Ellie Anderson, Colton Schneider, Aiden, Annmarie, Adeline and Everett Stanley, and Ansleigh Crook; brother, Darrell (Francis) Preece; sister, Muriel Pinkerton; sisters-in-law, Donna McClung, Elsie Sue Patterson and Joyce Preece; along with several nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 29th at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV with Pastor Joe Wolfe officiating.
