Obituary

Beula M. (Bowles) Kemerer, 93, of Dunbar WV, went home to be with Jesus on January 6, 2017 after a brief illness.

She was born on January 8th, 1923 in Dunbar, WV to parents Charles Ottmer Bowles and Hester Anna Bowles, who both preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Arthur Clyde "Harry" Kemerer on November 29th, 1942.

She was a charter member of Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. Her lifetime of faith has resonated with her entire family and impacted the Kingdom for countless others. She was a proud and vocal supporter of the nation of Israel. Her engaging and sharp personality and wit made her the center of attention everywhere she went. To know her truly was to love her.

She was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School, class of 1941. She helped her family run a grocery store in Dunbar for many years. She also worked at Stone and Thomas, and was thirty year volunteer with the Woman's Auxiliary at Thomas Memorial Hospital. She was the founding mother of Precision Pump & Valve Service, Inc. which was started in the basement of her home. All of these accomplishments were secondary to her being a Christian, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son Barry (Earlene) Kemerer, of Cross Lanes, WV & Sarasota, FL; granddaughter Kristi Kemerer Russell (Philip Harris) of Scott Depot; grandson Kevin (Deona) Kemerer of Charleston; great grandson Brett (Hillary) Kemerer of Charleston; great grandson Jeremy (Makala) Kemerer of Goose Creek, SC; and her beloved dog Gracie. Also surviving are Shelley Burkoski, Nate Burkoski and Hana Burkoski, (Omaha, NE); Ian McMillian (Portland, OR); Lexi Harris, Haleigh Harris and Lainey Sheriff (Scott Depot), as well as countless family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Arthur "Harry" Kemerer; son, Samuel Kemerer; brother, Pete Bowles; sister, Alva Lee Holstein; and faithful canine companions Coco, Kissy, and Samantha.

Visitation will be at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar from 6-8pm on Sunday, January 8th, 2017. Funeral service will be at 1pm on Monday, January 9th at Dunbar Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Greg Hudson, Pastor Paul Bailey and Pastor John Hanson officiating. Burial services will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar.
