Obituary

Beulah E. Smith, 95, of St. Albans, formerly of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Country Roads Assisted Living.

She was the daughter of the late Daniel Clark and Maggie Miller Humphreys, and was born and raised near Organ Cave in Greenbriar County. After graduating from Greenbriar Valley High School, she attended Marshall College where she earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She completed her internship in Dietetics at New Rochelle Hospital in New Rochelle, NY. She worked for many years as the head dietician at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston. She was a school teacher within the Kanawha County and Lincoln County school systems and also taught at Lakin State Hospital. She retired from West Virginia Rehabilitation Center as a Dietician. She was a faithful member of the Dunbar Church of Christ for 67 years where she taught both Sunday and Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Humphreys; her sister, Janice Boone; her daughter, Sandra Jean Mullins; and her husband, Rex T. Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Fox of Nitro;
granddaughters, Terri Adams of Given, Stephanie Mullins Williams of Florida; great grandchildren, Trista and Derek Adams of Given, Tyler and Seth Williams of Florida.

A special thanks to the staff of Vineyard's Personal Care Home, Country Roads Assisted Living, and HospiceCare for their special care of my mother.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Minister Donnie J. Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
