Bill Miller, 85, of Dunbar, WV, passed on October 4, 2024, in Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial Hospital, after a short illness.  He was born January 26, 1939.

The son of the late John and Bessie Miller.  In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sisters, Odessa Jenkins and Janice Ragland and his brother, Arthur A. Miller, Sr.  He is survived by his brothers, Charlie H. Miller, Sr. of TN, Rennie Miller (Joan) of MA, Lige L. Miller of CA, and Rev. Melvin H. Miller Sr. (Jean) of WV.  His is also survived by his sisters, Bernice Miller (Jacqui) of WV and Elaine Johnson of NC.  He leaves his children, Anita Poindexter of AZ, Dorlessa Allen of WV, Bobby Allen of SC and five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

He graduated from State High School in Institute, WV where he played basketball .  Bill loved shooting pool, bowling and a variety of other sports.  He was knowledgeable in many subjects.  He loved a hardy laugh and a good joke.  He was well known "The Bottom"  and affectionately known as "Mr. Miller".

He leaves to mourn his siblings, children, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He will be missed and never forgotten.

Military Honors will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
