Billy Edward Pierce's Obituary
Billy Edward Pierce, born April 7, 1939, of Looneyville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Blankenship Pierce and step-mother, Pearl Pierce; son, Scott Ray Pierce; brothers, Russell and Oscar "Junior" Pierce; brothers-in-law, Bruce Brooks and Robert Ray.
Billy was retired from Charleston Linen after 34 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing and baseball.
He is survived by loving wife, Sandra Pierce of 42 years; son, Gregory Pierce; daughter, Evelyn Gomer; grandchildren, Crystal (Mark) Pauley, Angela Gomer and Alex and Sarah Groves; great grandchildren, Michael and Brayden Starcher; brothers, Rodger (Artie) Pierce, Ronald (Frances) Pierce and Wayne Pierce; sisters, Betty Brooks and Carolyn (Melvin) Lambert; brother-in-laws, Jimmy (Mona) Ray and Gary (Jackie) Ray and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. John Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
