Billy D. "Titter" Smith, 61, of Dunbar, entered into rest on June 5, 2006.
He was a Christian and a member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a recipient of the Silver Star Medal along with other medals. He was retired from the RC Cola Bottling Co. and the City of Dunbar. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Paul Smith, brother, Paul "Punk" Smith and daughter, Kelly D. Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his loving wife, Frances Smith, his mother, Edna "Janie" Smith of Dunbar, his sister, Diane Lickliter of Dunbar, his daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Johnny Douglas of Charleston, Trina and Keith Crewdson of Winfield, Teresa and Jim Gibson of Vienna, and son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Brandy Bailey of Poca. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah and Micah Crewdson, Hilary and Harlen Gibson, Amber, Brooke, Elijah and Noah Bailey and niece and husband, Amy and Dewie Sloan and their daughter, Hunter, of Cross Lanes; nephews, Chris Smith of St. Albans, Eric and Christa Smith of Winfield and grand-dog, Grace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 8, at the Dunbar First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Philip Bowles and the Rev. Ron Crum officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
