Bobbie Lynn Pratt-Robinson, 70, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2021 surrounded by family.
She was born on May 21, 1951, in Charleston, to the late Robert L and Lena M. Pratt.
She was the eldest of seven children.
Bobbie was a graduate of Charleston High School. She also attended Upward Bound and West Virginia State University. Bobbie worked for VISTA and later for Kanawha County Schools for 31 years. Teaching at Lincoln Jr. High and Grandview Elementary; teaching was her passion. Bobbie also worked 20 years for Sears.
She was brought up in church from an early age. Bobbie was a member of Kingdom of Life Fellowship with Pastor B.J. Roberts. She enjoyed the praise team on Sundays, the sermons were always a comfort to her soul.
Bobbie loved to travel with her family and friends. Her last trip was to Tennessee with her children and grandchildren for her birthday. Bobbie loved that trip. She really enjoyed talking to everyone she came in contact with.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert L. and Randy G. Pratt; and sister, Marcia Pratt Chandler.
Left to mourn Bobbie is her daughter, Teresa Sher Hairston Feldhaus (Matt) of St, Albans; son, Steven Hairston (Serena) of North Carolina; brothers, Wavey Pratt of Dunbar and Van Pratt of South Charleston; sister, Teresa Pratt (Sterling) of Charleston; grandsons, Steven Hairston, Jarret Welch, Keenee Richardson, Malachi Hairston and Manny Hairston; granddaughter, Rickesa BobbieLynn Byrnside; special cousin, Michael Ellis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Dr. Lloyd A. Hill officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
