Bobby L. Casdorph, 80, of Hamilton, Ohio, was born on June 25, 1926 and departed this life on October 8, 2006, at his home.
He was a member of Faith Christian Church in Mason, Ohio and was a US Navy veteran of WW II, having served aboard the USS Fall River. Mr. Casdorph was a Master Mason of Masonic Lodge #168, South Charleston and was a member of the Scottish Rite and the Beni Kedem Shrine.
He was a native of Charleston, WV and worked as a route carrier for the Charleston Daily Mail. After moving to Hamilton, Ohio in 1972, he worked at the S. Rosenthal Publishing Co. until his retirement in 1989.
Preceding him in death were his son, Don, his parents, Joseph A. and Ella Casdorph, three brothers and one sister.
Mr. Casdorph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie Casdorph; son, Mike and his wife, Ritta of Kenna; daughter, Linda Casdorph Shutts and her husband, John of Greenville, Ohio; brothers, Eldridge of Charleston and Bill of Xenia, Ohio; grandchildren, Greg Casdorph, Julie Casdorph Miller and her husband, Dave, Craig Goins, Randy Goins and his wife, Nikki, Kim Westfall,Donnie Casdorph, II and his wife, Tina; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Rev. Dude Evans of Mason, Ohio, officiating. Entombment with Masonic Rites by the South Charleston Masonic Lodge #168 will be in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Pocatalico.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
There will be a memorial service at the Faith Christian Church of Mason, Ohio on Oct. 29, 2006 at 6:00pm.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Farber and his staff for the care provided to Bobby and to Hospice of Cincinnati, especially nurses Kathy, Katie and Sheri for the excellent and compassionate care provided not only to Bobby but to all of the family.
